Dedicated to helping you reduce your energy costs and carbon footprint by providing quality weatherization as well as assisting you in receiving the rebates available to you through your energy provider.

Peak Performance Insulation, Inc. is a locally owned company providing quality insulation services to Southern Minnesota.  We are small enough to make sure the work is done right and big enough to meet your needs.  By providing a blower door test with every installation, we can help you identify air leaks in your home and show you why the U.S. Department of Energy recommends you do attic air sealing and insulation first as well as give you ideas on ways you can make your home more energy efficient and comfortable.

Most homes 10 years or older need to be insulated because most were never air sealed.  Also, the cellulose insulation used at that time settled, thus losing much of its R-value.  If fiberglass batts were used, gaps as small as 2.5% can allow air penetration that dramatically reduces its R-value.  In addition, the U.S. Department of Energy now recommends an R-value of 49-60.

REBATES

Many utility companies have partnered with government agencies to offer rebates to assist their customers in making their homes more energy efficient by adding the proper insulation and air sealing.  Minnesota Energy Resources and Centerpoint Energy offer rebates.  Both companies require a blower door test to receive the rebate.  We are BPI certified and we do the required audit to receive these rebates at no charge. If you have questions about the rebates, the following are links to the rebate programs:
